They definitely fund and support the government, and the government lets them do what they want. There shouldn't be people without housing in the cities, but a lot of people can't afford where they live.

Right. I've seen what happens when people go for power grabs. We don't want a government that's run by the corporations in name, as well. And they're the most powerful.

I think the corporations have a large role to play in it as well, although that is little more than intuition at this point.
